The Green Office invites you to join our Virtual Lunch Breaks – a digital series offering brief and inspiring inputs on current topics related to Education for sustainable development in higher education (ESD). Thursdays from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., experts from academia and practice provide a 20-minute-keynote, followed by time for informal exchange. The goal is to foster dialogue, share best practices, and explore how sustainability can be meaningfully integrated into teaching and learning.
Participation is open to all interested members of the university community – especially lecturers who are looking to engage with sustainability topics in their teaching.

We’ll kick things off with an introduction to the concept of Education for Sustainable Development, presented by Iven Prüfer from the organization Klimabildung e.V.
Anne Scheler and Helen Lehne (Green Office) explore ways to integrate sustainability topics into teaching. Using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework, they address ecological, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability.
Gina Kerber (Transfer Service, Knowledge Transfer) provides insight into a methodological approach to ESD and presents opportunities for project-based learning and teaching through the concept of Impact Learning .
