The Green Office is the central office for education for sustainable development at TU Braunschweig. Together with teaching staff and students, it develops, supports and coordinates courses in the field of sustainability. The aim is to permanently anchor education for sustainable development in university teaching - in an interdisciplinary, practical manner and taking into account ecological, economic and social dimensions.


Lecture series: TU for Future

TU for Future

TU for Future is a series of lectures held annually in the winter semester at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, which is organized in close cooperation with students. The focus is on pressing issues relating to sustainability and climate protection. Experts from various disciplines provide insights into current scientific findings, evaluate social developments and discuss innovative solutions.

Online course: Man-made climate change: causes, effects and solutions

Der menschengemachte Klimawandel

This course deals comprehensively with climate change in the context of the Anthropocene. The scientific foundations of the climate change debate will be explained and the various causes, effects and possible solutions will be discussed in depth. The course in German is offered by the Virtual Academy for Sustainability at the University of Bremen and is offered by the Green Office at TU Braunschweig every year in the summer semester.

Online course: Sustainability Communication

Sustainability Communication

In this course, you will explore the rote of communication in relation to sustainability and sustainable development. After expanding your disciplinary and terminological background, the lecture focuses an the three dimensions of sustainability communication, communication of sustainability (Marketing and product communication, PR and organizational communication), communication about sustainability (i.e. climate change & sustainability representations in the media or in political discourses) and communication for sustainability (i.e. social movements, stakeholder engagement and participatory approaches). The course is offered by the Virtual Academy for Sustainability at the University of Bremen and is organized by the Green Office at TU Braunschweig. It takes place every summer semester.
