The Social and Financial Counseling Service offers information and support in addressing many questions and issues that may arise before, during, and at the end of your studies.

Topics covered by the Social Counseling include:

•     Student financing (BAföG, part-time jobs, scholarships, student loans, etc.)
•     Difficulties with orientation
•     Health insurance
•     Government benefits (child support, housing allowance, etc.)
•     Studying with a chronic illness or disability
•     Pregnancy and studying with a child
•     Finding housing
•     Support during times of transition
•     Social security during the transition from studies to work

The Social Counseling Service is also here for you if you have general questions or if you’re unsure where else to turn with your concerns. The duration and intensity of the sessions depend on your needs and the complexity of the issue. Counseling is free of charge and, of course, confidential.

A service offered by GITZ – the Gauß-IT-Zentrum

The Gauß-IT-Zentrum provides consulting services to students and staff at TU Braunschweig in the areas of media production, visualization, and modeling.

To ensure we can provide the best possible advice, we recommend that you send us a detailed project description. This allows us to put together the right equipment when reserving suitable media technology, hardware, and software packages.

To help you find the right equipment for your project, we offer a wide selection of media technology available for loan. This allows you to gain initial experience with professional equipment at no cost. You can find our selection of equipment in our Stud.iP study group “Multimedia: Medientechnik/Medieneinsatz (Gauß-IT-Zentrum)".

If you have questions about multimedia and graphics or would like to share suggestions and comments, please contact multimedia(at)tu-braunschweig.de. We are also available to advise you on purchasing your own equipment.

A Service Offered by the Transfer Service

Founders at TU Braunschweig can receive free startup coaching upon request. Together with our coaches, you will navigate the various stages on the path to a successful startup. Startup coaching includes, among other things:

•     Assistance in developing a sustainable business model
•     Support in drafting a viable business plan
•     In-depth feedback on your business plan
•     Development of project and milestone plans
•     Support in applying for suitable funding and scholarship programs; instruction in presentation techniques for lectures and pitches
•     Preparation for idea and business plan competitions

The Continuing Education Program in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (WSKJP) is designed for all psychologists with a bachelor’s or master’s degree who wish to obtain licensure as a psychological psychotherapist specializing in behavioral therapy.

The program is designed as a 3-year full-time training course and is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Psychotherapist Act and the relevant training and examination regulations.
