Who can help me choose a degree programme?

Our individual student advisory service is here to help if you are still looking for the right degree programme. We can also help if you have questions about starting your studies or are unsure whether studying is the right path for you. We offer straightforward, confidential advice online or in person, with or without an appointment.

Are you new to Germany? Our International Student Support team will make your arrival easier – whether it's financing your studies, finding accommodation or social issues. Our Incoming Office is there for you when it comes to your application, enrolment or visa.

Can I study without a secondary school graduation certificate?

CVs are not always linear. Even without a graduation certificate, you can still study at our university if you meet other requirements. You could qualify through a master craftsman's certificate, a technical school entrance qualification, completed vocational training with experience or a special entrance examination.

We can provide you with useful tips and contact details to help you settle into your new home and start your studies with peace of mind.

Studying with a disability? You are not alone.

A chronic or mental illness, motor impairment or sensory impairment should not prevent you from studying with us. We can advise and support you as needed, whether that's making adjustments to your course, providing compensation for disadvantages, or helping you re-enter after a period of illness.

Do you have a child, or are you planning to start a family during your studies? As a family-friendly university, we will support you wherever you need it. For example, we can help with childcare or disadvantage compensation, and you can visit the Still.Bar on campus or our family office with any questions you may have. Studying and family life. How do I finance my studies?

Accommodation, food, books, travel costs and enjoying student life all cost money. As well as the traditional BAföG student loan, there are other ways to finance your studies. Find out about scholarships, student loans or part-time work.
