Dr. Phillip Hahn is Head of the Strategic University Development and supports the Executive Board in strategic development projects at the university. Theresa Wegner is an officer for strategic process coordination and deputy head of the unit. Her work focuses on the coordination processes surrounding the strategic orientation of TU Braunschweig. As a systemic coach and organisational developer, she has many years of experience in the university context and has methodological knowledge of process and development planning.

As Diversity Management Officer, Anouk Almstedt is responsible for the strategic dimension of diversity-conscious university development. As a social scientist, qualified social justice and diversity trainer and certified diversity manager, she has in-depth knowledge of diversity, anti-discrimination and diversity management. In addition, Anouk Almstedt brings experience in counselling, workshop and network design to TU Braunschweig's strategic university development.

As Strategic Controlling Officer, Cornelia Beier supports university development processes by identifying, analysing and visualising key figures. She also provides advice to the university regarding participation in national and international university rankings. As an administrative scientist with many years of experience in public sector consulting and the federal administration, she has extensive expertise in the areas of controlling, organisational development and project management.

Emma Axer

Emma Axer is the Appointments Officer and oversees appointment procedures from the appointment committee’s decision on the shortlist through to the conclusion of the committee process. She is also responsible for coordinating tenure-track procedures. In this role, she oversees interim and (early) final evaluations, including providing guidance and support to the tenure committees until the committee process is complete. She also acts as the point of contact for the dual-career support programme. As a graduate in social sciences, she has many years’ experience in the university environment and extensive knowledge of academic structures and decision-making processes.

Nicole Brückner is the Officer for Appointment Matters and Appointment Law and is responsible for providing legal support for all appointment procedures. As a fully qualified lawyer with many years’ experience in the academic sector and in the fields of association and state parliament politics, she is the key point of contact for matters relating to higher education law in Lower Saxony. When establishing new professorships in cooperation with non-university research institutions, she draws on her in-depth expertise from the legal department, particularly in the area of cooperation agreements. In the field of online application management for professorships, she oversees and coordinates the digital application processes.
Furthermore, as Inclusion Officer at TU Braunschweig, she plays a key role in implementing the statutory obligations regarding the employment of people with severe disabilities and those treated as equivalent.

Dr. Alexandra Eppinger, as Active Recruitment Officer, is responsible for supporting the faculties in identifying and personally approaching potential candidates as part of appointment procedures. Working in close consultation with the Chair of the BK, she oversees the procedures from the initial orientation meeting through to the drawing up of the shortlist. As an ancient historian with many years’ personal experience in research and teaching at the universities of Heidelberg, Mainz, Frankfurt am Main and Darmstadt, she possesses extensive expertise in university administration.
