Changed opening hours from November 2022

Against the backdrop of the acute energy crisis, it is important to significantly reduce energy consumption. In order to make our contribution to the savings targets, we have decided to adjust our opening hours. As of 1st November, our opening hours on Fridays will be discontinued - at least during the winter months. In future we will therefore open

Monday - Thursday 10 am -12 pm
Tuesday additionally 14 pm -15 pm

for you. Our on-site services will not be restricted. You can find out what we offer in detail further down on this page.

Initial Contact by Telephone

The Student Service Call is available for initial information by telephone regarding application, studies and enrollment at +49 531 391 4321 during the following times:

 

Monday - Thursday: 9 am - 4 pm

Friday: 9 am - 1 pm

Submission of documents

Please send documents by post only or drop them in one of the mailboxes.

 

These are located in front of the Haus der Wissenschaft on the left or the university mailboxes at Universitätsplatz 2.

Study Service Centre opened gradually

We are gradually reopening the Study Service Centre for you. You can currently reach us personally on site Mondays to Thursdays from 10-12 h and Tuesdays from 14-15 h. You can find more information about the available services and visiting rules below.

 

Available service offers

Student Office:

  •     TUcard, exmatriculations, leaves of absence, special forms and certificates, name change/change notification, student finance advice.

Academic Advice Service:

  •     Mondays 10-12 h, Tuesdays 14-15 h and Thursdays 10-12 h open counselling.

International House:

  •     Daily initial counselling, office hours International students on Tuesdays and Fridays and Exchange students on Mondays. Office hours Language Centre on Wednesdays 10-12h

Social Counselling:

  •     Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-12 h open office hours & by appointment

Employment Agency:

  •     Wednesdays 10-12 h all services

students@work:

  •     Office hours of students@work have to be cancelled until further notice. Online counselling (email to info@hib-braunschweig.de) is still possible.

Visiting rules & procedure at the Study Service Centre

Access is only possible with visitor card.
Wearing an FFP2 mask is strongly recommended.

Procedure:

  •     You inform us at the entry control which facility you wish to visit & receive a suitable visitor card for your desired facility.
  •     You can now visit the Service Desk or the Counselling Office indicated on the visitor card.
  •     When leaving the Study Service Centre, you hand in the visit card at the entry control.
