This unique event is designed to foster collaboration, cultural exchange and skill development among students from TU Braunschweig and the University of Rhode Island. Whether you're a budding entrepreneur, creative artist or tech enthusiast, CyberFestival provides a platform to showcase your talents, connect with fellow international students and expand your resume. The festival takes place on-site at the Media Lab and on campus in Rhode Island and is simultaneously streamed via an online platform.

16:15–18:00 | Watch as innovative student entrepreneurs pitch their groundbreaking ideas to an international panel of industry experts, gaining valuable feedback that could take their projects to the next level.
18:15 – 19:15 | Meet students from TU Braunschweig and the University of Rhode Island. At different themed tables, you can compare life at the various universities and discuss your interests and current topics such as AI or social media.
19:30 – 21:00 | Experience the drama and diversity of global cultures as student musicians and theatrical performers bring to life original and cover songs, along with captivating performances that reflect their rich cultural heritages. Cast your vote for your favorites on Instagram and celebrate the vibrant tapestry of talent!
16:30 – 18:00 | Students from both universities will be exhibiting their work in the fields of photography, graphic design, and fine arts. Discover exciting projects and discuss them with the artists themselves.
18:15 – 19:45 | Student filmmakers present their short films and film projects live. We watch the films together. The authors are on site to discuss them with you. We also have individual professional filmmakers on hand to provide additional support. We always show one contribution from Braunschweig and one from Rhode Island alternately.
20:00 – 22:00 | Dive into the action with a Super Mario Kart tournament streamed live from both continents. It’s a cross-border competition like no other!
Via Stud.IP, you can register for the individual program items. You can also drop by spontaneously, but registering helps us a lot with planning. This also allows us to actively inform you if there is any new information.
No registration is required for online participation. There are enough remote places available. The online event will be accessible on the day of the event at the following address: https://lnk.tu-bs.de/Z1dqar Just tune in to the program item you want to see! However, we recommend participating on site at the Media Lab. Here, you don't have to worry about the technology and you can meet people in person.

The Library Innovations Labs at the University of Rhode Island are our partner organization co-hosting the CyberFestival. Together we are developing ideas and events to connect students from both universities around media-related topics. The Library Innovation Labs currently consists of six labs including Launch Lab, XR Lab and a Makerspace, as well as an Audio Video Lab, Think Lab and AI Lab.
