Start of lecture and exercise: Winter semester 2025/2026, further information on StudIP
Classification: Master studies
Frequency: WS
Students learn to distinguish between serial and parallel structures and to divide robots into main and secondary axes. Knowledge of workspaces, application criteria and designs is taught.
In addition, students gain an overview of the components required for the robot, such as drives, sensors and measuring systems. Furthermore, students are able to demonstrate and calculate kinematic and dynamic models of various robots. They learn the control approaches and device structures required for control, as well as textual and graphical interactive forms of programming. This lecture provides students with an introduction to the interdisciplinary and comprehensive technical product of industrial robots, which are an essential subsystem of a complex manufacturing environment.
Lecture materials are available to students via StudIP.
A Laboratory is offered to accompany this lecture.
