Bio

Deepank Verma’s interests and expertise include Urban Planning and Design, Remote Sensing, Mapping, Deep Learning specific to computer vision and audio classification. He defended Ph.D. dissertation, where his focus was on understanding the relationship between auditory and visual characteristics of the urban surroundings and human perception of the same. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Sustainable Urbanism, TUBS on the topic of Digital Urbanism. He has authored several Research papers in leading journals and conferences.

  • 2021/22 Urban Data Lab – I Lead Instructor for the seminar. This is Part-I of the seminar, which provided an opportunity for the students to understand, create, assemble, code, and analyse the urban environment with the help of sensors and pocket-sized computers. It further facilitated students to gain know-how of the latest developments in visual and audio analysis with various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools
