The final conference of the project will take place in Braunschweig on 25 and 26 September 2025. At this conference, project results will be presented and an outlook for the topic of XR in research and teaching at TU Braunschweig will be given, as well as an exchange with researchers from other locations.
Further information will follow on this page in the comming weeks.

Miriam Mulders holds a doctorate in educational science. She is currently working as a research assistant and postdoc at the Learning Lab at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her research focuses on the opportunities and challenges of virtual reality for teaching and learning.
Dr. Pia Spangenberger's research focuses on digital teaching and learning formats to promote cognitive, affective and behavioral learning objectives in the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Since 2019, she has also been working across disciplines with colleagues from environmental psychology and human-technology interaction to investigate the extent to which "embodiment" in immersive virtual reality (VR) environments can promote a change of perspective in favor of a better understanding of the role of nature.
Dr. Christian Hartmann (Technical University of Munich) investigates learning in immersive, virtual realities. The focus is on the question of how verbal information in XR-supported learning environments - depending on their specific characteristics such as spatial-situational visualizations - is effectively processed in terms of multimedia learning. The underlying questions are methodically addressed primarily through experimental studies, which are supplemented by process analyses (e.g. based on eye movement data) in order to map cognitive and metacognitive learning processes and derive adaptive support options.
