On Tuesday, April 22nd, starting at 11 a.m., the final presentation of Marco Ochsenfahrt's bachelor thesis on “Design of a Fault Injection Tool for FPGA” will take place in the C3E seminar room.
The bachelor thesis deals with the simulation of radiation-induced errors that can occur in FPGA systems. The focus here is on the look-up table and the flip-flop, which can be simulated using a software tool and an adapted simulation library together with corresponding error statistics. This allows the reliability of FPGA-based systems to be estimated and the effectiveness of corresponding fault tolerance measures to be checked.
