At the beginning of their studies, each student is assigned a mentor by the Data Science Examination Committee from the university teaching staff of the Department of Computer Science or the Department of Mathematics.
The mentor's task is to create a study plan together with the student in order to set individual study priorities. The students meet regularly with the mentor to discuss the progress of their studies and - if necessary - to adjust the study plan.
The announcement of the mentor assignment is made by the study program coordination/the examination office by mail to the students. Therefore an obligatory meeting in the first semester week with the mentor must be held.
A change of the mentor is possible at any time at the request of one of the participants (student and mentor).
The study plan (in Word), countersigned by the mentor, must be submitted to the examination office before the start of the first examination registration period. During the studies, necessary adjustments to the study plan are to be made jointly by the student and the mentor. The amended study plan, countersigned by the mentor, must be submitted to the Examinations Office before the next examination registration period.
