TU Braunschweig promotes a culture of lifelong learning and personal development, where participatory approaches, "learning together" and "learning from each other" are important aspects of our self-image.
Personnel and Professional Development plays an important role as a strategic field of action of the university management. It communicates the university-wide goals and values, incorporates cross-cutting issues such as internationalisation, equal opportunities, leadership quality and sustainability into everyday working life and promotes early and informed career decisions by employees.
The different aspects of the university's personnel and professional development strategy will be summarised in a concept paper which is currently being updated. After completion, the new personnel development concept will be made available HERE.
Personnel and Professional Development develops guidelines for managers and employees of TU Braunschweig on important topics.
These guidelines document a shared understanding of leadership and cooperation and provide a binding framework for action, regardless of the area in which you work and the tasks you are involved in.
The guidelines are intended as a goal and commitment for managers and employees. They are intended to provide orientation for the future, motivate and contribute to aligning mutual perception and decision-making processes with common points of reference.
Further information
The guidelines on error culture aim to encourage all managers and employees of the central administration to cultivate and promote an open approach to errors. In our understanding of a constructive error culture, the central goal is the comprehensive reflection of errors, which should be solution-oriented and not person-oriented.
