Code of Conduct

A compass for our interaction at the TU Braunschweig

TU Braunschweig is a place of learning, research and personal development. Based on the jointly defined values, the Code of Conduct (CoC) provides guidance for our daily actions. The CoC was developed in a Senate working group with members from research, administration and studies and was unanimously adopted by the TU Braunschweig Senate on 10 December 2025.

"TU Braunschweig creates an atmosphere of cooperative collaboration and encourages all members to actively work towards a sustainable and democratic future for our university."

Code of Conduct TU Braunschweig

Specifically, the CoC formulates seven guiding principles that are aimed at all members of TU Braunschweig: students, employees, teaching staff, managers and cooperation partners.

The seven central principles are

  • fair working and study conditions,
  • appreciative and non-discriminatory communication,
  • diversity and equal opportunities,
  • a responsible leadership culture,
  • research integrity and ethics,
  • transparency in external cooperation,
  • sustainability and resilience.

Actively making the CoC visible

You can actively support us in making the CoC visible at TU Braunschweig by putting up posters in your institution or displaying the brochure. In this way, you can help to keep the seven core principles visible and present in your everyday working environment. If you need materials (brochure, poster) or have questions about the CoC, please contact us.
