The multi-project management workshop offers an introduction to the basic concepts and methods of multi-project management. After a short round of introductions, the various methods of multi-project management are explained to the participants, followed by practical exercises to apply what they have learned. Regular feedback rounds encourage you to deepen your understanding and develop practical solutions for typical challenges in a multi-project environment. The workshop ends with a networking session.

The FIR at RWTH Aachen is an institute that deals with value-adding circular economy and digitalization and thus helps to shape the company of the future. Our academic employees work in both management consulting and research and are aiming for a doctorate. The institute supports companies, researches, qualifies and teaches in the areas of business transformation, service management, information management, production management and smart mobility. Speaker of the FIR e. V. at RWTH Aachen: Florian Schuldt studied industrial engineering for a bachelor's and master's degree at the TU Braunschweig. Since 2021 he has been working as a research assistant and project manager with the intention of doing a doctorate at the FIR at RWTH Aachen in the field of service management. The Assessment Center (AC) is a personnel selection tool that is often used, especially by large companies, to gain a comprehensive picture of the potential of their applicants. The day is like a usual AC with various individual and group tasks. In this way you will get an impression of how an assessment center day works, as it is used in large companies. A final individual feedback is also part of the daily program.

Discovering your own potential and developing it further in a targeted manner is a key to professional and private fulfillment. We are often not aware of our strengths or find it difficult to convince others of them naturally and authentically (e.g. in a job interview). In the spirit of a “strengthen your strengths” attitude, you will develop your own “potential landscape” and present it to the other workshop participants. The appreciative and constructive feedback from the group as well as the lecturer, who is experienced as a human resources specialist, provides valuable and practical impulses for the next professional steps. In this workshop we work very interactively and with a colorful mix of methods.

The following program items are planned:

Tour of our research and development department, the Aminovation. In addition to modern laboratory equipment, there are pilot systems for product development and scale-up tests.
We then visit the production facilities in one of the three factories on site. This is a factory with “state of the art” production facilities with a production volume of up to 20m³. In this factory, amino acids are processed and purified to infusion quality.
During the tour we meet different departments and we can ask detailed questions about research and development, quality assurance and sales.
