Work group Residue Analysis
The reserach activities focus on investigating fate and behavior
of biologically active sub-stances, i.e., pesticides, biocides, human and veterinary medicines, in divers environmental compartments (manure, digestate, sewage sludge, soil, plant, water, sediment, waste) under laboratory and field conditions. Besides development and application of residue analytical methods to detect target compounds and corresponding metabolites, laboratory experiments applying 14C-labeled test substances are performed for the assessment of mitigation strate-gies. Thus, the processes of aerobic, anaerobic and photoinduced biotransformation, anaero-bic digestion without/with matrix separation as well as thermal and (bio)electrochemical treatment technologies for the removal of micro-pollutants are under investigation.
