Games during the Hex tournament

On February 21, 2024, the end-of-course tournament for the computer lab and advanced computer lab optimization from the winter semester 2023/24 will take place in the CIP pool starting at 1:30 pm. Programmes written by students will play the board game Hex against each other. Spectators are welcome!

In winter 2023/24, the Institute of Mathematical Optimization offered a combined course consisting of computer labs and seminars on board game AI. This course will conclude with a final tournament on February 21, 2024, in which the programs developed by student teams for the board game "Hex" will compete against each other.

In Hex, two players take turns colouring squares of a honeycomb grid in their colour. The aim is to connect their own opposite sides.

The tournament will be held from 1:30 pm in room 617 in the Forum building (until approximately 4:30 pm). Spectators are welcome!
