Would you like more support in understanding your courses and preparing for exams? Then join the S.o.S. programme!

S.o.S. helps you improve your knowledge of German as a academic language and pass exams successfully. Together with a German-speaking language coach, you read lecture notes, practise for exams, write lab reports or study for oral exams. In the process, you will not only train the German language but also establish contacts with other international and German students.

How it works

Approximately one to two weeks after the start of the semester, you will find the study groups that are offered in the respective semester in the Stud.IP event. You can choose between learning groups for specific courses, study-related groups and general language groups. Please register for the desired group.

Please register in the desired group. Each learning group consists of the language coach and 2 to 5 international students.

The matching meeting is the kick-off event for students from all faculties. Here you will get to know the members of your learning group and your language coach. Participation is compulsory for all participants of the S.o.S. programme!

Date in the summer semester 2024:

Tuesday, 23 April 2024 at 18:30 in the Foyer E-Tower (Foyer E-Tower: Hans-Sommer-Str.66, ground floor left).

For the duration of the semester, learning meetings are held regularly in which the contents of the course or language difficulties can be discussed. The meetings can be held online or in presence. At the end of the semester, all international students meet with their language coaches for a big closing event.
