Lea van der Werff has been working as a student assistant at the Institute of International Relations since the winter term 2022/23. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Integrated Social Sciences at the TU Braunschweig and wrote her Bachelor's thesis on international climate conferences. She is currently studying for her Master's degree in Political Science at Leibniz Universität Hannover.
