Masch.Bau

Here you can find all important information about the Masch.Bau: how to register or what you can do in case of problems.

Under "Usage points" you will find direct help if you have locked yourself out, for example.

Many of you may have already seen the green building at Lange Kamp. This is the "Masch.Bau". The building was completed fall 2016 and can be used by students of all disciplines. There are 88 learning spaces available, which are divided into nine learning spaces for up to four people, seven learning spaces for up to six people, and six individual learning spaces. The learning spaces can be booked/reserved 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering's website. You must register in advance to be able to reserve a learning space. To enter the building, you only need your student ID card, which you can also use on the site to confirm your booking and unlock the corresponding room. The study rooms are equipped with outlets, and the TU's Eduroam network is available, so that learning with a laptop, tablet, or other device is possible.

In addition to the study rooms, you will also find the Fachschaft Maschinenbau, the student council of Faculty 4, in the Masch.Bau (this is not to be confused with the office of Faculty 4). The Klappe is also in the ground floor of the building, there you can get scripts and old exams. In order to ensure a pleasant learning atmosphere, the faculty has hired an assistant who regularly checks the condition of the study rooms and reports any problems.

Nevertheless, your help is needed, which is why we ask that you take your glass bottles, recyclable bottles, and pizza boxes with you after use of the rooms and dispose of them yourself, as this is not done by the cleaning staff.
