On the following page you will find all essential information about the conference.
The conference is designed as a hybrid event, i.e. it will take place both in Braunschweig and online. The majority of the contributors will be on-site at the event, and online presentations are marked as such in the program. All presentations will be available both on-site as well as online.
Program
Please see the bottom of the main page of the conference website for the program and a Book of Abstracts. All times listed are in Central European Summer Time (CEST).
Proceedings
We welcome you to the conference venue from noon on October 7. The program is divided into slots for keynotes of 40-45 minutes in length followed by discussion, and panels of two to three 20-minute presentations each. Discussion of the panel papers will be bundled per panel following the presentations.
Language
The conference is bilingual (German and English). All keynotes are in English. For the other presentations, the respective language is noted in the program. The language of discussions will usually be the same as the presentations. For the discussion of German-language contributions, participation in English is possible.
Registration
For both face-to-face and online participation, it is necessary to register for the event using this form. If you are presenting at the conference, you are automatically registered.

Arrival by public transport
The closest airports to Braunschweig are Berlin (BER) and Hannover (HAJ), and there are direct train connections to Braunschweig from both cities. Travelling via Frankfurt (FRA), Hamburg (HAM) and Leipzig-Halle (LEJ) airports is also possible.
Braunschweig's main train station is served by long-distance trains operated by Deutsche Bahn. On the website of Deutsche Bahn you can find information about tickets and timetables.
From the main station, you can reach the conference venue by bus line 419 to the Pockelsstraße stop. The bus leaves every 15 minutes, the journey takes 11 minutes. You can find information on tickets and timetables on the website of Deutsche Bahn or Braunschweiger Verkehrs-GmbH. Sparpreis (saver) or Flexpreis (flex) ticket options for long-distance travel on Deutsche Bahn (ICE, IC/EC) for a distance of more than 100 kilometers include local transport transfer to your destination, so you will not be required to acquire additional tickets.
Accommodation
We recommend accommodation either at the nearby Plaza Inn or at the centrally located Pentahotel. A number of rooms have been reserved for booking by conference guests, so please contact the organization team to find out if rooms are still available.

We are pleased to offer free cold and hot beverages, snacks, and vegan/vegetarian food during the event (appetizers and hot supper on Friday, appetizers and a light hot lunch on Saturday, appetizers on Sunday).
In addition, there are several culinary options in close proximity to the conference venue. We particularly recommend the restaurants Troja (Anatolian), Osaka (Japanese) and LaCupola (Italian), the snack bar Falafelhaus (Arabic), the pizzeria Parco as well as the bistro Herman's for a nearby snack.
If you have registered for online participation, you will receive a link to our virtual conference room in BigBlueButton in advance. There you will be able to view all presentations, and follow, and contribute to, the discussions. Questions and contributions via chat will then be forwarded to the panelists. We would like to discourage audio-visual participation from online attendees in the discussions in order to be able to ensure a fluid and pleasant process for all. We would like to thank you for your understanding.
BigBlueButton works similar to e.g. Zoom, Webex or Jitsi, and runs on your browser and therefore does not need to be installed in advance.
