Microscopy

The following microscopy equipment is available in the Division of Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology:


Inverted laser scanning confocal microscope (Leica SP8):

  • laser lines: 405, 458, 476, 488, 496, 514, 561, 594, 633nm
  • detectors: 2x HyD-GaAsP, 2x PMT, 1x transmitted light
  • resonance scanner for high temporal resolution
  • heating chamber


Inverted epifluorescence microscope (Leica DMI6000B):

  • fully motorized
  • monochromatic camera (DFC365FX)
  • heating chamber


Upright epifluorescence microscope (Leica DM5500B):

  • fully motorized
  • monochromatic camera (DFC3000G)
  • RGB camera (DMC2900)


Upright epifluorescence microscope (Leica DM6B) with VAST BIoImager (Union Biometrica):

  • motorized objective revolver and filter wheel
  • monochromatic camera (DFC365FX)
  • VAST BIoImager for automated phenotype recording
  • LP-sampler for Falcon (50ml) and 96-well plate screening
  • UV-ablation laser (352nm, Rapp OptoElectronic)


Fluorescence Stereomicroscope (Leica M205FA):

  • motorized stage
  • 1x and 2x PlanApo objectives
  • monochromatic camera (DFC365FX)


Fluorescence Stereomicroscope (Leica M205FA):

  • 1x PlanApo objective
  • monochromatic camera (DFC3000G)


In case of interest, all microscope setups are available free of costs for scientists of the TU Braunschweig.
