Citavi

The University Library has purchased a campus license for the desktop version of the Citavi literature management program. This gives all TU students and teachers the opportunity to use this program free of charge.

Citavi supports you in literature management and knowledge organization in study and research. With Citavi you can manage and structure your literature, ideas and citations and it supports you in writing scientific texts.

The period of the campus license was extended in December 2021. The license is now valid until 24.05.2025.

Notice about Citavi data protection

The literature management program Citavi belongs to the US company OSR International since 2021, therefore, your
personal data may be transferred to the US. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of the
EU data protection law. US companies are obligated to release personal data to security authorities without
you as the data subject can take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may use your data located on
US servers for monitoring purposes, evaluate and permanently store your data.

We have no influence on these processing activities.

If you are interested in the non-technical aspects of the topic of data protection, you should preferably read the data protection declaration of QSR INTERNATIONAL.
For further information on data protection, please refer to the current Citavi manual.

Please also note our privacy policy (see below)

The following consent can be revoked by you at any time. To do so, please send an e-mail to ub-citavi(at)tu-braunschweig.de, stating your name and your TU e-mail address. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that has taken place up to that point.
