Course offerings

The Information Literacy team of UB Braunschweig supports you as a lecturer in your teaching on the topic of academic research. We work closely with you to develop a customized teaching concept to supplement already existing lessons. Additionally, we offer consultations on the topics of academic research and writing, e.g. during the creation and implementation of academic writing guidelines.

For students, the university library offers guided tours, courses in the reference management programme Citavi and courses in academic research and writing.

We also offer guided tours in English (for 3 people or more). Please contact us if you are interested.

Citavi courses:

The university library has licensed the reference management programme Citavi. Therefore, all TU members can use it for free. The library also offers courses in Citavi regularly.

Courses in academic research and writing:

The library offers courses in academic research and writing in German.
If you are a lecturer and are interested in a customised offer for your students, feel free to contact us.

We also offer guided tours in English (for 3 people or more). Please contact us if you are interested.
At the beginning of each winter semester, we increasingly offer introductions to the library for first-year students. Please contact us if you would like to make an appointment for your students.

Citavi courses: The university library has licensed the reference management programme Citavi. Therefore, all TU members can use it for free. The library offers courses in Citavi regularly. You are also welcome to arrange individual course dates for groups of ten or more.

For doctoral students, the library offers courses in academic research in cooperation with GradTUBS.

Currently, no student tours can take place at the University Library.

You are welcome to visit and use the library during opening hours. 
If more than ten students would like to have a library card issued, we would ask for an appointment at.

Use of the open stacks is currently only possible in small groups of up to 5 people. 
We offer you the possibility to get to know the UB in a virtual student tour. Please feel free to use our freely accessible online course.
