Andre Wegner heads the "Pathometabolism" research group at the Institute of Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at the Technical University of Braunschweig. Wegner, who studied computer science, wrote his doctoral thesis in systems biology and has been working at the interface between computer science and biology. With his research at BRICS, he contributes to the core research area on infections and therapeutics. We talked to him about his work and how the corona pandemic is affecting his research activities.
