English-Language Instruction

English-Language Instruction

Through the English-Language Instruction project, TU Braunschweig aims to sustainably promote the development and expansion of English-language courses, modules, and degree programs. Project duration: January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2025, funded by the university’s lump-sum allocation for clusters of excellence.

The integration of English-language instruction not only increases the university’s appeal to exchange students and secures our international academic partnerships, but also enables all our students to prepare optimally for the international job and research market. However, how English-language instruction can be meaningfully integrated into a degree program varies from discipline to discipline. The English-Language Teaching project supports departments and faculties in the strategic development, didactic planning, and implementation of both existing and new courses, modules, and degree programs in English. We do this through formats such as consultations, coordinated process support, and content-specific workshops, and we assist faculties in translating their teaching and learning materials. As part of the International Teaching Lab, the project collaborates closely with the International Teaching Cooperation and ProDiGI projects.
