The goal of the “Teacher Education at TU Braunschweig” Circle is to develop a mission statement for high-quality teacher education at TU Braunschweig in collaboration with the subject-specific disciplines, subject-specific didactics, and educational sciences involved in teacher education. The process aims to achieve a science-based and profession-oriented advancement of teacher education and, to this end, to establish a shared understanding of a future-oriented teaching profession. Guiding this effort are the recommendations of the Standing Scientific Commission of the KMK for the implementation of high-quality teacher education, which comprehensively addresses teaching, research, and knowledge transfer and coherently integrates relevant cross-cutting themes such as digitalization, sustainability, and diversity.
