Emerging Tech Lab

The Emerging Tech Lab aims to systematically monitor and classify new technological developments and highlight their potential for study and teaching at universities. The focus is on so-called “emerging technologies”—that is, technologies that are still under development but could have a disruptive impact on universities in the future.

The project supports universities in Lower Saxony with practical scenarios and well-founded recommendations for action to strengthen their responsiveness and capacity for innovation and to proactively shape technological change.

The central goals and tasks of the project are:

The early identification, discussion, testing, and evaluation of new technologies in an educational context,
Strengthening the ability of universities in Lower Saxony to actively leverage technological innovations and design future-proof educational environments,
Promoting a sustainable transformation that strengthens the innovative capacity of universities and raises the profile of Lower Saxony as an educational hub in both national and international contexts.
