Quanomet

Since the beginning of 2019, QUANOMET has been strengthened by the early appointment (P1) Quantum Mechanical Many-Body Systems in Mathematical Physics at TU Braunschweig by Prof. Christoph Karrasch.

The research group of Christoph Karrasch deals with the description of collective phenomena (such as superconductivity or magnetism) in quantum mechanical many-body systems and thus complements the theoretical activities at TUBS and LUH. A specific focus is on the development of novel methods to treat the interaction between electrons. Recent work on light-induced superconductivity or superconductivity in graphene is of direct relevance to QUANOMET.

In addition, the junior professorship of Prof. Stefanie Kroker for Metrology of Functional Nanosystems (P2), established jointly between PTB and TUBS, strengthens the research line.
