Quick Facts

Since December 2025, I have been an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at TU Braunschweig, researching the use of anchored large woody debris as a nature-based solution for coastal defence and saltmarsh restoration. Previously, I held a competitive Smithsonian fellowship in Panama, conducting three months of fieldwork in remote mangroves. Before that, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (later promoted) at The University of Queensland, Australia, focusing on hydrological restoration of degraded mangroves for coastal protection and carbon sequestration. Outside of academia, I have 6 years of experience working as a consultant Water Resources and Coastal Engineer.
