As part of the “Fuel-OptimOT” project, the ivb is developing a numerical prediction model for a dual-fuel engine powered by methanol and n-heptane. To this end, an existing model is being adapted and expanded to improve prediction accuracy and, in particular, to accurately simulate ignition processes in the flame bridge region.
