Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testbenches provide electronic control units with a simulation of their usage environment, enabling early and cost-effective verification & validation. Therefore, HiL testing plays an increasingly important role within the development of software-defined vehicles. With the growing complexity of these vehicles, also the development of HiL testbenches becomes more challenging. This demands for a systematic approach as the HiL development is considered a core competence of the project partner.
Originating from Model-Based Systems Engineering, a tailored method for the systematic requirement-driven HiL testbench development is developed and applied within an appropriate toolchain. This serves as a proof of concept leading the way to further usage within the development of virtual test environments.
