VDI scholarship for theses on sustainable technologies

The VDI Braunschweig Bezirksverein e.V. (VDI) promotes final theses by Bachelor's and Master's students that deal with sustainable technologies, their application and effects.

With the support of the Braunschweigischer Hochschulbund e.V. (BHB) and the Green Office of TU Braunschweig, the VDI promotes final theses by Bachelor's and Master's students that deal with sustainable technologies, their application and effects. The aim is to make an active contribution to a more environmentally friendly and resource-conserving future.

What is funded?

  • Two Master's theses and one Bachelor's thesis that deal with sustainable technologies, their application and effects.

What does the scholarship include?

  • Monthly funding of €300 - for two Master's students over nine months each and for one Bachelor's student over six months.
  • Mentoring and professional exchange with experienced engineers from the VDI network
  • Part of a sustainable network: contacts with employers from the region
  • Visibility of the work within and outside the university, especially in the VDI environment

Who can apply?

  • Master's and Bachelor's students from all faculties of TU Braunschweig in the final phase of their studies (start of thesis in winter semester 2025/26)
  • Topic with a clearly recognisable reference to sustainable technologies, their applications and/or their effects
