The ASA programme is an exchange and scholarship programme for young people in 45 countries worldwide and is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. Participants support one of 100 development policy projects and learn new things about sustainability, global justice and diversity in accompanying seminars. Thanks to the wide range of projects on offer, there is a suitable project for every subject area.
Participation in the programme is financially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
On the programme website, students can filter the projects according to their interests and apply for an ASA scholarship by 20 January 2026.
To mark the 65th anniversary of the ASA programme, a new website has been launched where anyone who is interested can find out more about the history and significance of the programme.
