Encounter and exchange

The International House supports members of TU Braunschweig in intercultural learning. Today, intercultural skills are indispensable elements of qualification for the international job and research market. They also help to ensure the success of studies and integration into the university and society. Internationality includes not only professional expertise and networking, but also knowledge of cultural differences and similarities. By "culture" we also explicitly mean subject, teaching and learning cultures. At the International House of TU Braunschweig you will find a number of initiatives and programmes that make interculturality tangible. Special synergy effects can arise when intercultural and language skills are trained together.

By the way: The International House is interested in a scientific monitoring and evaluation of its offers. Are you interested in other cultures? Do you want to navigate confidently in the international environment of TU Braunschweig? With the "Certificate of International Competence (ZiK) for Employees" we bundle and structure the offers on the topic of internationality and interculturality.

Certificate of Intercultural Competence for Students

The Certificate for Intercultural Competence (ZiK) allows you to prove your international experience. It is an acknowledgement of your intercultural commitment and a formal proof of your intercultural abilities.

Intercultural competence is the ability to successfully interact with people from other cultures. This ability can be learned in many different ways: The focus is always on personal encounters, interest in other cultures and thinking about one's own culture. At TU Braunschweig there are a number of initiatives and projects that make interculturality a tangible experience.

Then join the course-independent language tandem at the TU Braunschweig!

In order to sustainably improve the learning success of foreign language students at the TU Braunschweig, foreign language students are to be supported in their learning by student language coaches in courses in engineering subjects.
