Future Laboratory Health

Summary

Health care is facing profound changes. Digital diagnostics, tele medical services and individualized therapy options are developing dynamically. High-performance medicine is facing an increasing shortage of specialists in the health care professions, which is being further exacerbated by demographic developments. Economic constraints and necessary investments, existing structures and new participants in the market must be reconciled. Longer life expectancy and better health precautions, assistance robots, biosensors and telemedicine are exemplary components of a complex health care system that is researched in the future laboratory with the human being in focus.
The Future Laboratory Health is one of six future laboratories of the Center for Digital Innovations Lower Saxony.
