Topic: Maximizing the Tensile Strength of a Compressor Blade Made of the Titanium Alloy Ti 6Al 2Sn 4Zr 2Mo
Description: The Ti 6Al 2Sn 4Zr 2Mo alloy belongs to the group of two-phase titanium alloys, in which the properties can be significantly influenced by the microstructure. This alloy is used as a compressor blade material in some aircraft engines. The objective of this project is to maximize the tensile strength of the Ti 6Al 2Sn 4Zr 2Mo alloy through heat treatment, while ensuring that the elongation at break remains at least 10% (ASTM B 348).
