International students

Please upload a scan of your ID card or passport. Visas, residence permits, fictitious certificates and other kinds of residence permits are not identity documents and will not be accepted.

Please ensure you enter the correct reason.

If you have previously studied or are currently enrolled in a German university you must upload your certificate of exmatriculation from your last university. This certificate has to clarify how many semesters you have studied in Germany in general and in which study programme.

Please submit proof of all examination attempts that you have already undertaken in Germany. This transcript must contain all examination attempts, i.e. both passed and failed examinations.

In this section please upload all certificates and documents that are part of your university entrance qualification.

If you would like to enrol in a Bachelor’s degree programme you must already have submitted these documents at the time of application.

Applicants who would like to enrol in a Master’s degree programme must upload the complete transcript of their Bachelor’s studies if they have not submitted this document at the time of application.

If you have not yet received your Bachelor‘s certificate, you can submit this certificate until the deadline mentioned in your letter of admission. 

Please make sure that you always upload a scan of the original document as well as the official German or English translation.

If you have not yet provided proof of sufficient language skills, please upload them here.

For German-language degree programmes, a TestDaF 4x4 or an equivalent test is required.

For English-language degree programmes, a TOEFL iBT 88 or 95 or an equivalent test, depending on the degree programme, is necessary.

For bilingual degree programmes, please refer to the respective admission regulations.

If you enrol in a Bachelor's degree programme which needs an entrance test, please also upload the test in this section.

Please upload a complete, tabular CV including all periods of study at German universities.

If you have applied for Pharmacy via Hochschulstart, please upload your letter of admission from Hochschulstart here.

If you have received any other admission letters that are important for your enrolment at TU Braunschweig, i.e. from Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HBK) for enrolment in a minor subject, please upload them in this section.

Here you can upload any additional documents you need to submit for enrolment. This includes, for example, proof of admission requirements.

For enrolment, we need an electronic notification from your health insurance provider confirming that you are indeed insured. Please contact a German statutory health insurance company in time and apply for membership. Then request the “Meldung 10”, i.e. the “M10”, for TU Braunschweig, stating: “Sender number H0002117”. This is the code for TU Braunschweig. The health insurance company then sends this message digitally to the university.
