Current debates on (re-)configurations of humans, machines and gender require highly interdisciplinary acts of translation between engineering, humanities, sociology, media science and gender studies. Within the research colloquium we discuss problems of such interdisciplinary cooperations. This happens on the basis of different questions, models, methods and specific applications of human-machine-intraactions, which are surveyed for the gendered in- and exclusions they incorporate within their socio-technical context. The aim is to develop innovative theoretical and methodical approaches for the gendered analysis of technology/machines and of the design of technology.
