Kremena Burkhard is an expert in the field of ecosystem services and at the same time employed at the Institute for Environmental Planning of the LU Hannover in the joint project "Gute Küste Niedersachsen". Jonas Lenz is currently finishing his PhD in the field of erosion experiments and modeling in the research group of Prof. Conrad Jaksich at TU Freiberg. In RUINS, both will work on ecosystem services at the coast of Lower Saxony and, together with project partners from the University of Freiburg, will investigate how uncertainties affect stakeholder decisions. We wish them a good start and look forward to working with them.
