Research focus areas

The primary research interest focuses on understanding fundamental biogeochemical functions in soils and associated ecosystems, both in natural and anthropogenic systems, but particularly in relation to global changes. Additional expertise includes the utilization of microbe-plant associations to enhance phytomining and phytoremediation, the application of waste-based soil amendments for stabilizing soil contamination, and improving nutrient status.

Areas of expertise:

  • Soil remediation
  • Soil reclamation
  • Spectroscopy
  • Soil chemistry
