Initiating the Habilitation Process
Before submitting your application for habilitation and all the necessary documents, you and your supervisor must contact the Chair of the Habilitation Committee at the Faculty of Life Sciences (Prof. Dr. Ute Wittstock) and the Faculty’s Habilitation Office (Catharine Franke).
Following your introduction to the Chair of the Habilitation Committee, your habilitation proposal will be discussed at the next Faculty executive board. At this meeting, it will be decided at which Faculty Council meeting your habilitation application will be considered.
Please note that you must submit the complete set of documents and your habilitation thesis to the Habilitation Office of the Faculty of Life Sciences BEFORE the next Faculty Council meeting at which you wish to present yourself in person. However, your documents must be available no later than 1 week before the Faculty executive board, which usually takes place one week before the Faculty Council meeting!
