The new module Circuits and On-Board Power Systems will be offered for the first time in the summer semester 2026 by Prof. Dr. Michael Terörde. It is available exclusively to students of the Master’s program in Electromobility. The language of instruction is German.
You will gain in-depth knowledge of circuits and different types of on-board power systems.
Students evaluate electrical networks using typical network analysis methods. They analyze AC and three-phase networks with complex pointers and using the symmetrical component method. They explain the structure of on-board power networks of different vehicle types and classify the architectures.
Electrical networks, direct current networks, non-linear components, tandem solar cells, alternating current networks, three-phase networks, superposition methods, current branch analysis, Thevenin and Norton equivalents, method of symmetrical components, complex pointers, frequency responses, distortion reactive power
Successful completion of homework assignments. The exact details will be announced at the beginning of the course.
Examination: 120-minute written exam or 30-minute oral exam
