The new module Electrochemical storages embedded in on-board power systems will start during the wintersemester 2023/24. It will cover the topics of electrochemical storages and systems like fuel cells, batteries and double layer capacitors as well as their use in on-board systems of various vehicles like aircraft, ships and cars. The module will be tailored towards bachelor students of engineering, industrial engineering and adjacent subjects. The course will be held in English.
Funded teaching project: Engineering Quiz Master Challenge
The Fund for Innovative Teaching is funding our project Engineering Quiz Master Challenge.
In accordance with the focus of the TU Braunschweig on mobility we will create a English lecture on the electrification of vehicles making use of game-based learning. (Industrial) engineers and students of similar subjects will be enabled to proactively work on future energy systems and gain insights into the internationally and digitally focussed working environment in the field of mobility. The students will be presented fundamental knowledge of on-board power systems via digital lessons in video form, in line with the flipped-classroom principle. Based on this knowledge the students will work in small groups to create quiz questions. The questions will then be presented by the students to their fellow classmates and discussed in form of friendly competition. Thus, future skills like collaboration and creativity can be developed. The experience gained in this project can then be applied to future modules.
