ChipDesign Lab

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new ChipDesign Laboratory in the Room 261 (2nd floor next to the C3E) for the summer semester.

The ChipDesign Laboratory is a specialized facility designed for the development and conception of integrated circuits and microchips. It serves not only as a learning environment for students but also as a research facility for innovative projects in the field of information and electronics technology.

Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and software, the laboratory supports the entire development process from conception to FPGA prototypes or chip verification after manufacturing with a partner. The equipment includes:

  1. Design software
  2. Prototyping platforms
  3. Testing and measuring devices
  4. Manufacturing equipment
  5. Training materials

With this laboratory, we offer more space and new opportunities for team projects, project work, and thesis projects. Examples of possible project topics include systems based on the RISC-V processor architecture, AI accelerator hardware, or the investigation of the effects of radiation on hardware systems. If you are interested in a team project, project work, or a thesis project, please feel free to contact us; we are happy to support and supervise you.
