The Office for the Protection of the Constitution has the task of protecting the free democratic basic order and, as an early warning system, recognizing extremist tendencies, collecting and evaluating information. It also informs and educates the public. The Office for the Protection of the Constitution's economic protection serves the purpose of protecting sensitive areas of the economy from espionage attempts by foreign intelligence services, raising awareness among companies, and offering them preventive help to help themselves. All this is done through consultations, specialist lectures, and conferences.
