We are looking for three

Student assistants (m/f/d)
(40 hours in total – fixed-term contract)

to support teaching activities. The position is expected to be filled for a fixed term of five months.

Get involved:
• You will supervise the exercises on statistics, programming and data analysis, including preparation and follow-up (10 sessions of 2.5 hours each)
Dates: 28 April, 5 May, 12 May, 19 May, 26 May, 9 June, 16 June, 23 June, 30 June, 7 July (provisional), each
Tuesday, 4:45–6:15 p.m.
Location: Seminar room on the central campus
Programming language: R
• Marking coursework (project work)
• Marking the exam

Your basics:
• Current enrolment in an M.Sc. programme in biology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence for molecular sciences (AIMS), computer science, mathematics or a comparable field of study
• Programming experience in R or Python
• Knowledge of git, Bioconductor, tidyverse and quarto is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of statistics, data processing and data science
• Interest in bioinformatics, systems biology and interpretation of biological data is an advantage
• Cooperative and proactive approach to work
• Strong communication skills
• German (at least B2 level) and English (at least B2 level) language skills
