On January 26, the students of step in MINT and the participants of the Niedersachsen-Technikum went on a joint excursion to the Battery LabFactory Braunschweig (BLB) and the Institute for Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology (IWF).
After a short theoretical input, Gabriela Ventura Silva, Christina von Boeselager and Johanna Haupt showed the facilities of individual production processes. The students were also able to look over the shoulders of the doing research. In the subsequent Q&A session, they learned details about the careers of the employees, with a concluding outlook on future prospects in battery research.
