The VDI Scholarship offers you:
Financial support
Master’s students receive funding of €300 per month for nine months.
Bachelor’s students receive €300 per month for six months.
Professional guidance from experienced engineers
You benefit from individual mentoring and exchange with experts from the VDI network.
Career opportunities and networking
You become part of a sustainability-oriented network with contacts to regional employers and gain practical insights into your field of study.
Visibility for your work
Your thesis will be highlighted through internal and external university communications — especially within the VDI community.

The VDI Scholarship is part of a joint initiative by:

Green Office of TU Braunschweig
Within the framework of the VDI Scholarship, the VDI serves as the funding partner, the BHB acts as the contractual partner for the scholarship agreements, and the Green Office serves as the academic/content partner.
Students at TU Braunschweig who
are in the final phase of their studies (winter semester 2025/26)
wish to work on a thesis topic related to sustainable technologies, their application, and their impacts
are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program (all faculties)
The application period is currently closed, and no applications can be submitted at this time. The next application phase is expected to begin in summer 2026.
There are no restrictions on the part of the VDI Scholarship. If other scholarship programs allow it, you may receive those funding opportunities in addition.
