Inauguration of the "Science campus Braunschweig-Süd"

On 6 October 2017, the "Science campus Braunschweig-Süd" was inaugurated by the Lower Saxony Minister of Science and Culture Gabriele Heinen-Kljajić and the Braunschweig-mayor Ulrich Markurth.

The ceremony with guests from science, economy and politics was a highlight in the Braunschweig anniversary year "10 years city of science" and an important milestone in the further development of the research region Braunschweig. The future campus partners are the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI), the German Centre for Infection Research (DZIF), the Leibniz Institute DSMZ-German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures, the Technical University of Braunschweig, the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine ITEM and the Biotechnological Student Laboratory Braunschweig (BioS). The new  "Science Campus Braunschweig-Süd" is intended to expand the regional and national visibility of the modern life science campus, promote networking among the partners and attract new cooperation partners and young talents. In addition, with the support of the city of Braunschweig, a new signage concept was implemented in public.
